Vaccines and Health Tips for Cats

Recommended  Vaccines

 

Kittens need the following vaccinations and health tests: 

  • Feline Leukemia / FIV test. 
  • At 8 weeks of age, begin a 2-series shot for upper respiratory and feline leukemia. 
  • At 8 - 12 weeks, begin heartworm prevention and continue year round. 
  • At 12 weeks, rabies vaccination.

Annual vaccinations:

  • FVRCP (Upper respiratory diseases, also known as distemper). 
  • FeLV (Feline Leukemia).
  • Rabies.

  

Heartworm  Disease
